David Rodríguez
CEO of Optipixel
With more than three decades of experience in telecommunications and information technology, David Rodríguez serves as CEO of OptiPixel Group, leading innovation and B2B business transformation. His mission is to accelerate the growth and technological maturity of Latin American companies, enabling them to compete globally through GTM strategies that address the needs of their target customers. OptiPixel applies proven methodologies for custom software development, including Outcome-Based Product Roadmaps, Multi-Cloud & DevOps, ODI, and AI.
David is also the founder of Giga Optics, the first company in El Salvador to offer Gbps-level telecom systems for data recovery and business continuity in the banking sector. By 2005, 80% of local banks were connected to its network. In 2012, Giga Optics was acquired by Columbus Networks (now C&W Business). Earlier in his career, he contributed to the deployment of the first “Fiber to the Curb” (FTTC) network for over 60,000 users in Nicaragua (2001–2004), international fiber optic links between Mexico and the U.S. with Siemens (1997–1998), and the testing of the first 2.5Gbps SDH fiber optic systems at Siemens WERK in Munich, Germany (1992).
